Year: 1500’s

A Mermaid jumped out of the ocean and flipped in the air upon seeing a person appear at the oceans edge, around the Southern tip of Africa. The mermaid had orange hair with purple tips which flew in the air, as she swam fast to the person on the beach with her powerful fish tail. As she reached the beach she touched her blue amulet. A blue aura surrounded the mermaid and her fishtail transformed into a pair of legs; and a greeen dress appeared in place of her shell bra and scales. Her scales on her face and fish ears remained the same though.

I tried fitting Earth and Air in one go. But by the time I finished Earth, I was tired and Air didn't want to work with me @_@

Well ... I feel like they progressed way too quickly to the level of technology they currently have. And it doesn't have as much as the distinctive cultural feel as it aught. It's all the same as we have in our world/on our timeline, but too quickly, and they're only calling it something different instead of it being unique.

I'm also just very nostalgic for the 'old world'. Like when I read the Narnia series; or LotR. In the beginning, it was so fascinating and fantastic, and there were animals, and this epic journey. I didn't want it to change. Then at the end, all was about humans, or the end of the journey? It lost its magic. I detest the last Narnia book.
I don't detest this new show, I'm thrilled, but at the same time, feeling quite let down. But it's only natural, it's years later and it can't be the same.
It's also quite weird seeing Katara as an older lady.

Honestly, all the (to me) sudden technology was so distracting it's hard to focus on the rest of the story. I'll try to 'dive in' better next episode. Cars, megaphones, cameras, MICROPHONES ... *explodes*
